Amish School House Murders

The Amish School Massacre is a very troubling thing and it is unfortunate too because once again a tragic story is laced with religion. There have been way too many school incidents where kids have been killed and there has been way too much violence with religion as the under tone. What can be done?
Some say it is time to ditch religion? Ditch religion you say? Yes, well I am not the only person saying this and many on the street are saying the same thing, so perhaps we need to have this discussion? I know you are saying that the topic of banning all religion is simply not possible and therefore we cannot talk of such things?
Okay, I realize that banning all religion in the present period is not possible, but maybe in the future religion might simply be rejected completely by all. And besides the topic itself should not be off limits, as someone needs to say it. Would you just look at all these murders and all these crimes, which involve religion?
How can we allow this to go on in our nation? And what about other religions in the world and those who use religion to justify the killing of innocent life? International Terrorism in the name of religion also needs to stop? Surely you do not mind talking about that? So, I ask the question; is all religion bad? If it is bad, as opposed to good, then why do we allow it?
