They’re called “Anniversary Clocks” because originally they used a mechanism that needed to be wound only once a year. And although anniversary clocks do not show up on the list of traditional anniversary gifts, they are included on the modern or contemporary list for a gift for the first wedding anniversary.
There are also many styles of anniversary clocks, so you should have no trouble finding one that is perfect for the wedding anniversary you are buying for, whether it is for your first anniversary or for any other anniversary gift. Since a clock of any kind (not just the traditional “anniversary clocks”) makes a great anniversary gift, there are many styles and brand names available to choose from.
