Anniversary Gifts - Second Anniversary

If you need some anniversary gift ideas for your second wedding anniversary, you can go with the traditional gift ideas or, thanks to the updated list, more modern ideas. We’ll cover a little bit of each. I hope that something in this list will inspire just the right gift for that special significant other of yours.
Traditionally, the second anniversary is one where you give your spouse something that’s made out of cotton. This alone should give you plenty of ideas as there are many items that are made out of cotton. One thing you have to remember and this will make your life a whole lot easier, is that the gift you get doesn’t have to be made 100% out of cotton. Some fine gifts are made out of a combination of cotton and synthetic materials. This is perfectly acceptable. As long as a portion of the item is made out of cotton, you’re good to go. So, what are some great cotton ideas?
For the ladies, this is easy. Guys, your wife won’t love anything better than a nice soft pair of cotton pajamas. They don’t have to be all cotton either. A blend of cotton and nylon is fine. Another thing you can get your wife is a nice blouse. There are plenty of all cotton or partially cotton blouses that you can get her.
If you don’t want to get your wife something to wear, especially if she already has a closet filled with clothes, you can always get her a nice cotton bathroom towel set. You want to make sure though, if you do this, that the towels match the color of the bathroom itself. The last thing you want is to put green towels in a blue bathroom. Your wife may not appreciate it much.
For the guys, a nice cotton dress shirt for those rare occasions when he actually does get dressed up will do just fine. And of course no man can have enough cotton socks and underwear. Men go through those things like water. Oh and don’t forget those cotton dockers. Guys need something to beat around in on the weekends.
If you want to go more modern than traditional, there is china. This is probably something that the guys will have an easier time picking out for their wives than the other way around. To a man, a plate is just something to plop his pizza slice on. No point getting him fine china for that. But women love the holidays when they invite the family over for dinner and serve everything on their finest china. So guys, if you really want to score points with the little lady, get her a 100 piece china set. Yeah, I know, it’s a lot of money. But isn’t she worth it?
The second anniversary is not a real popular one like the first, tenth, twenty-fifth or fiftieth, but you can come up with some really great gifts for this special day that can last for a lifetime. If you think that’s an overstatement, just take a look at that china set you got on your wedding day that was passed down from your wife’s grandmother.
Some things, like some marriages, really do last a lifetime.
