Looters Have Every Right to Loot

Many forthright and honest Americans criticize the looters after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. But it is not right, they do not know what it is like to be a Black American. They do not understand the lifestyles in New Orleans. They have never lived in the hood. How dare they attack the looters, these fine upstanding citizens! It was over 36-Hours after the Hurricane’s Eye had passed or about 27 hours after the last Gale Force winds had cleared before anyone went and broke out windows to go get a new TV Set? The power had only been out for a little over a day, before anyone borrowed any free high fidelity electronics like 84’ Flat Panel HDTVs or Surround a Sound Systems.
People watching the looting do not understand that those folks had every right to go on a shopping spree a day and half after the power and water got shut off. They needed food don’t you understand, they were very hungry and thirsty. They needed their drugs too. So they went looking for some hard alcohol to go with the wine and drugs they borrowed after removing the windows of gun shops, electronic stores and drug stores. Without food, water and electricity they had no other choice you see?
How dare the white Americans criticize, they do not understand, they do not live in New Orleans, besides it is white people who run the government who did not bring in free food for the Hurricane Victims because they did not care to help black people. There is nothing wrong with looting if you are poor and live in the hood. What is wrong with that? How are people suppose to know what to loot, if they do not have an 84’ Flat Panel High Definition TV to see all the goodies available to them? You see it makes perfectly good sense. Without the TV all set up and ready to go so when the power went back on, there was no way to know what type of food to loot, because without a good quality $4,000 TV system, whose to say if the commercials on TV for Kelloggs Pop Tarts are really what you want to get on your third round of your free shopping pass? Think about it. Looters have a right to know and the right to steal. And white Americans ought to be ashamed of questioning their intentions and choices of products during their once in a life-time shopping spree? How dare you white Americans criticize those poor black looters. I bet you wouldn’t say anything if those looters were white folks would you?
