Lost and Found

By: Dawn Fields

There are many times when I am so amazed by the miracles of God that I simply have to step back and smile. It’s not that I do not understand the powers and the wonders that is God. It’s just that sometimes, with our day-to-day activities, we often don’t even think about it.

Let me share something with you that happened to me this week.

I had received a contract from a client about three weeks ago and was looking for it the other day. I couldn’t find it. No matter where I looked I couldn’t find it. Now this was totally unusual for me. I always make copies and file contracts immediately. I couldn’t even remember receiving it. I looked for two hours for this contract.

Finally, I simply sat down and prayed. I said, God, I’m getting out of the way because I can’t do this by myself and I am thanking you for showing me where this file is located. As soon as I said this, with a clear mind, I got a clear picture of where the file was located.

I kid you not. It was a clear picture of the file and me putting it there. I immediately jumped up and looked and low and behold, there it was.

The same thing happened to me last night. I was looking for Eli’s, my son, sweat pants. He had gym today and needed his sweat pants. They were out of school on Monday and the last time he went to gym was Thursday. Now, I know I washed the pants and gave it to Eli to put up.

I must tell you that when I hand Eli clothes to put up, it’s a 50/50 chance that they will make their way completely to his dresser. Sometimes, they only make it to the chair, sometimes to the top of the dresser, sometimes to the closet (but not where they belong), and sometimes they make it to their proper place.

Well, apparently, his sweat pants didn’t make it to its proper place. So, Monday night, I’m tearing the house apart looking for his sweat pants. Then I remembered the contract and how easy it was to find—AFTER I GOT OUT OF THE WAY AND TURNED IT OVER TO GOD.

So, I sat down, closed my eyes and told God I was getting out of the way and I thank Him for showing me where the sweat pants were.

Ready for this????

I kid you not. I received a flash picture of the sweat pants behind the dresser. So, I went in his room and looked behind the dresser and there were the sweat pants. Apparently, somewhere along the way, he had put the pants on top of the dresser, but they had fallen behind the dresser. But here they were, right where God told me to look.

Sounds crazy, right? I know. Sounds a bit crazy to me too but I know that it works. And from this moment on, I will be using this with everything I have to do—whether it is finding something I missed placed or manifesting something I desire. Simply get a mental picture of the thing that you desire and GET OUT OF THE WAY. Pay attention or become conscious of the pictures or intuition that comes to you and take immediate action.

Just try it. I’m not asking you to change your life and do something that will require much of you. Naw. I’m just saying the next time you are looking for something, stop looking, get out of the way and let God lead you to it.
