Non Lethal Crime Control Considered Crucial

By: Lance Winslow

Non lethal weapons for crime control make a lot of sense to save lives. Although if you shoot the bad guy well one could say he or she is no longer a problem to society and you have indeed saved money in the long run? Of course that is not a politically correct thing to say these days and we do attempt to publicly hold ourselves out to be a civil society and caring civilization.

So then, non-lethal weapons are a good option to combat crime or even to patrol our borders with to prevent illegal entry to our nation. For instance zapping someone with a ray-gun, which is disguised as a cactus tree kind of makes sense too doesn’t it? It stops the illegal movement and violation of our laws and the invader is deterred from sneaking across the border into the United States of America unlawfully you see? But of course this is only one very good application for crime control, as there are many other applications as well, such as violent protests, which get out of control due to the inability of the human species to remain calm during mass mob like events.

When mobs and protestors get out of control bad things often happen to both the protestors and the crowd control officials, not to mention the innocent by standard, who is trampled to death by way of human stampede. So perhaps we need to use more non-lethal weapons in many cases and consider this in 2006.
