Other tour companies use an “interview style” of social. The social is held in a large hotel conference room. The women sit against the wall and the men are each assigned a table with chairs. Each table is equipped with an interpreter.
The men select an individual woman to interview from the group that are seated against the wall by informing the interpreter of his selection. The interpreter approaches the woman and brings her to the table for an interview with her.
The interview lasts as long as you both desire. Again, you get her contact information and arrange to meet her later.
Some people prefer the interview style because they feel uncomfortable in social settings. It is generally a little quieter at the interviews because there is usually background music at the cocktail party type socials.
Others feel that the interview process is too impersonal and rigid. They feel that everyone is more relaxed in a social setting. The women definitely feel more relaxed in a social setting.
Consequently, women are more likely to attend the socials that are more fun. As a result, the number and selection of women at the “fun socials” is frequently better.
