Our Ports and the UAE Buy of Port Assets

It seems we have a fabricated crisis brewing and a complete misunderstanding of how the security in our ports actually works. It is a shame to see politicians using such an issue to grandstand, as in a way it proves one of two things. Either they are truly ignorant to how our ports work and the flows of goods around the world or they do know and are pandering for some quick Public Relations media brownie points with their fearing constituencies.
This is rather problematic indeed as we need leadership that gets the whole picture and are not so caught up in their own rhetoric that they feel they need to insight the public into more fear in order to get re-elected. We should not be so quick to condemn, as wasn’t it the Democrats who stated; we need to understand culture and bring the world back together again?
For those who study the flows of civilizations and world trade they know there is nothing wrong with the Dubai Buy. Ports and Shipping are an international business. For those ignorant to the over all flows, they can be easily drawn into the fray by media sound bytes and Democrat rhetoric and mantra back tracking.
Our ports and international trade all over the world is an international business. We have assets in ports abroad and they have assets here in the states. It is just the way it is. It has always been that way and it works; that is why the system is the way it is. If we go screwing around with the flows of our civilization and cause issue with the flows to and from other civilizations; I personally guarantee that the United States of America will come out the worst, as we have the most to lose. Consider this in 2006.
