Passion and Romance - Does Your Relationship Have What It Takes?
By: Yvonne Perry
It may be a job, a car, a pet, or a child, but we are all passionate about something. That thing or person who is closest to our heart is what we devote the most time and attention to. While it is easy to get wrapped up in a project or a profession, it is also easy to neglect the person who is most the important part of our life—especially when we are busy with the kids, work and social life. All that needs to be attended to, but what about nurturing your relationship with your mate?
You may be making plans for your retirement, but are you sharing your intimate secrets with one another? Do you really know the person you are with? So many people who are approaching midlife do not know themselves much less their partner. If you are not enjoying the company of your mate now, things will not get any better when the kids are on their own. Many people who thought they would be together forever find themselves divorcing at midlife.
Think of what life will be like once the kids are grown. Will the romance still be there as it was when you were dating? If you have made an effort to develop a strong relationship with one another, chances are you are looking forward to your duet days. You are enjoying date nights where the two of you go dancing or sit by the fire talking over a glass of wine. You have a heartfelt spiritual connection that is strong enough to weather the changes and challenges midlife offers. You are each strong in who you are—you have your own identity while allowing the other to express who they are.
Take a quiz to see if your relationship has the passion and romance needed to insure long-term happiness. While you are on the Celarien website, be sure to download the free eBook Romantic Trances.
