Personalized Ribbon

By: Gerry Ocean

So you have the wedding favors for that upcoming wedding and now you need personalized ribbon for them. How do I know what length each ribbon should be and how many yards I will have to order. The first step is to take a piece of string, scissors and a tape measure out. Wrap it around your wedding favor that you want the personalized ribbon to go around. Some people will tie just a tight knot and some will want to have a bow. Pretend the string is the personalized ribbon. Then take it off and measure the piece. Multiply how many inches each piece is times the amount of pieces needed, like maybe 12″ is each piece and I need 250 pieces of personalized ribbon because I have 250 wedding favors for the wedding ribbon to go on. Now divide that total by 36 and you have how many yards you will need.

Most places will sell only in 50 or 100 yards at a time. The next step you will have to decide on will be the wording and font style. Do you know the difference between single face ribbon and double face ribbon? We will post more as we go along.
