Pre-empting International Terrorists and Nation State Sponsors

Many nations do not wish to go against the nations that sponsor international terrorism because in preempting such actions they make themselves and their citizenry a target of the very international terrorism groups that they are trying to stop. In fact remaining neutral on the issue of international terrorism is the safest thing for nation to do for its people in the short term.
However in the long-term and considering the future of our own children it makes no sense of all not to take action prior to international terrorism groups obtaining nuclear weapons from the nation states, which may give them or sponsor them.
However, such a policy is necessary in the nuclear age. Today we find United Nations and the Security Council completely ineffective and ineffectual in the war on terror and in their ability to sanction the Iranian leadership from manufacturing atomic bombs and nuclear weapons. Additionally, with Iran threatening to; “Blow Israel off the map!†and simultaneously sponsoring Hezbollah and Hamas; it seems as if the Security Council United Nations is a complete joke.
However, it is no laughing matter considering that millions of people will die the first time a nuclear weapons detonation takes place in a large civilian population or city.
The United States of America has the integrity along with her allies to deal with this problem however, smaller nations without the resources really do not want to get involved and larger nations which make a lot of money selling high-tech and advanced weapons systems to Iran do not want to put up barriers or sanctions on Iran because they would lose an economically desired situation and significant money flows from the cancelled deals while Iran builds up their war machine prior to the starting of World War II three.
The United Nations Security Council must do the right thing and pre-empt international terrorist organizations and the nation states that sponsor them. This is the only way to ensure the human race will be safe in the future period. Consider this in 2006.
