Redundancies in Distribution and Transportation the Answer to Protecting Our People

By: Lance Winslow

Indeed we must have ways to systematically check the systems, simulations, re-routing, instantaneous like numbers being assigned in routers on computer networks and frequency skipping or changing routes. We must consider our civilization in a different way when defending against International Terrorism; we must consider the flows of our civilization and put forth redundant back-up system to protect our on-going forward progression. The stability of any system against any potential eventuality of International Terrorism is not easy, it requires some rather complex and abstract thought, but by simplifying the equation, we can protect our nation and defeat international terrorism, the virus which currently plagues the human race and holds but the species from our future destiny in the next period.

Consider our nations highway systems for a moment; let us take the I-40 in TX; there must be 30 different routes between any two points. Such as between Amarillo and Dallas, maybe not too awfully direct, but different. You see, literally fool proof, also near railways and or close to airports. The system is safe because no attack would stop the flow of distribution, thus the target is not opportunistic for International Terrorists. So it is safe. Sure they can blow it up if they want and it might cause a slight delay, but not a single truck would miss its destination.

In this regard nothing can stop you getting thru, sure it takes a little longer but 50 million people living in riots and anarchy without food is a big issue and a run on the stores after a situation means you are starting from behind trying to fill everything back up. But none of that will ever occur because our systems are redundant and even if you take out every road, we have rail and air too. Redundancies to the system are the key, we do not have to worry about things which are redundant, as it serves no purpose for our enemies to attack us at those points. Consider this in 2006.
