Renewing Wedding Vows in Las Vegas - Tips for a Las Vegas Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony

By: Rebecca Johnson

Las Vegas is the Wedding Capital of the World. It is also a favorite destination for couples who want to renew their wedding vows. So what do you need to know about renewing your wedding vows in Las Vegas? Here’s a few things to help you out with your Las Vegas vow renewal planning:

Although some Las Vegas wedding chapels offer special vow renewal packages, any chapel will do a vow renewal and you can choose any package that any location offers for your vow renewal.

Want to do something fun this time around? While you may have gone the traditional, elegant route the first time you exchanged vows, Las Vegas offers many options if you want to do something a little different this time around. The popular Elvis ceremony is, of course, one option but Las Vegas has many other great wedding packages you might want to consider as well. How about a Star Trek ceremony on the bridge of the USS Enterprise with Klingons as witnesses? Or a romantic gondola ceremony complete with serenading gondolier and Venice themed scenery? A few other options include a pirate ship ceremony, exchanging vows at the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign, and scenic locations such as Red Rock Canyon, Lake Las Vegas, and Mount Charleston.

Since you are renewing your vows, it is not necessary to obtain a marriage license. You also won’t need to have witnesses present unless you want to!

If you want to have a reception afterwards, several of the wedding chapels offer small reception facilities on their properties. These are usually a small room or outdoor garden area. If that doesn’t interest you, consider one of the many great restaurants Las Vegas has to offer. The Eiffel Tower Restaurant at the Paris Hotel offers romantic views of the Las Vegas Strip making it a great option to consider.

Renewing your wedding vows in Las Vegas is a fun thing to do. It also doesn’t have to be expensive. Wedding chapel packages can be found for under $100 and if you watch for bargains on airline tickets, a hotel room, meals and entertainment, you can easily keep your expenses for the whole trip under $1000.
