Taking Your Kids With You On Dates

Although it seems inappropriate, sometimes taking your children on dates with you is an important step in your relationship. While it is not typically acceptable to take your children along on a first date, there will come a time when your date will need to start getting to know your children. If there is a connection building and your date and yourself want to take things to a more serious level, spending time with the kids is the best way to know if the relationship is as sturdy as you might think it is.
Some great things to do when your kids are along involve sports or nature. You can take everyone to a park and have a picnic and play a little volleyball if you like to stay active. You can all go fishing or hiking together as well. Maybe a movie and dinner are more your family’s speed. No matter what you choose to do, be sure that your children and your partner are all comfortable with the idea beforehand. If one of them is not ready for this step, you may want to postpone the activity until later. If you try to push things too soon, you will only end up with angry kids or a non-existent partner.
