To Detox or He-tox — Turkish Super-model Deniz Akkaya Needs to Know
By: Jim Masters
Detox or He-tox, that’s the question…
Two weeks after traffic police confiscated super-model Deniz Akkaya’s driving license on a DUI charge, Turkish paparazzi found her at the exclusive Richmond Nua Spa Detox and Yoga Camp in Sapanca near Istanbul, Turkey. Until then, her absence from the public eye had been the subject of intense speculation by the daily newspaper gossip columnists. The story given most credence was that she had run off to Italy with her current man-friend where he might be able to soothe away her cares and woes…
A spokesperson for the model states that she was undergoing detox and yoga treatment to relieve stress, but… her man-friend was nowhere to be seen. And that’s caused a different line of speculation…that Deniz wasn’t really Detox-ing at all, she was He-toxing…
We’ve read recently that He-toxing (i.e. for a woman to separate herself in a spa-like setting from all men, for up to 6 months) has become fashionable among European society-women and show-biz people. And in an article on the subject in a recent issue of The London Observer (titled “If Men Are Damaging Your Health, It’s time for a He-Tox”), it said that prime candidates for He-tox treatment usually exhibit symptoms such as: excessive lover’s quarrels, crises of jealousy, and sexual infidelity.
If that’s the case, then Deniz Akkaya should be undergoing a He-tox spa treatment, for sure. Because she’s had more man trouble of that nature than all of the Turkish celebrities we know about, combined.
Just one thing though…As the Observer article suggests, Deniz ought to keep the spa treatment ‘dosage’ within reason — not encourage a ‘War between the Sexes’. Unless she’s ready to explore a brand new way to warm her bed…
