To Lance Winslow’s Critics

As a superstar athlete, later in politics and as an entrepreneur one faces many challenges and develops skills, reasoning and strategies, which can be used in nearly any human endeavor in the life experience. After retiring at 40, I had decided to share with the world some of my experience, knowledge and wisdom. First, I thought I must gather it all up and write it down. Thus, I started, discovering that writing is not as easy as it looks.
Soon, I found that I needed to better my writing skills if I were to do this correctly. I began writing and taking some of my previous work in manuals, sales letters, brochures and mix it all in with some real-world observations. Currently I have written some 3737 articles now and about 50% of these articles are from past information from emails, manuals, forum posts and articles I had done for trade journals in the 21 Industries that our business operations covered.
In doing this I had found that I have been attacked by others who doubt my 27 years in business, 15 years as an athlete and 6 years in politics. Claiming that I am this thing or the other, attempting to pigeon hole my life’s work, motivations in writing and my level of expertise stating that it is mostly “hot air” or that I want publicity or for people to notice me?
This is completely laughable, first having been in the lime light all my life, that is the last thing I care about. Secondly, for someone to say that I am full of hot air is silly, as I know what I am talking about; been there, done that and lived to tell about it. If the critics believe that they might be able to intimidate me, well, you might wish to know something about athletes, entrepreneurs and those who risk their personal character in politics. As a humble still young man having been thru the battle, with the will of ten men of character, experience and knowledge, well intimidation or condemnation will not work.
To my critics, I say to you; do not stand in the way. And advise you may wish to get off “The Road Ahead” because this may look like a road, but it sits on top an Aircraft Carrier and we just gave the “thumbs up!” with afterburners blazing and catapults cooking and if you are in the way? Well let’s just say if you get sucked into that intake there will not even be any road kill for the birds to eat. Because we have a mission to fulfill and this is an unlimited takeoff to flight level 4-Zero and we are going vertical. And then straight to the battlespace for a net-centric game of “Winner Take All!”
“Damn the Critics, Full Speed Ahead!” If that is all you got, if that is the best critique you can give, if that is the last hurdle standing between me and the goals I have set, well, I am under whelmed by your challenges, detracting comments and persnickety comments. And here is the message; “Ah shut up!” Think on this in 2006.
