Volcanic Activity Predictions and Trends for 2006

By: Lance Winslow

In 2005 we saw a huge amount of Volcanic Activity throughout the world, which makes sense as the Indonesia Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami unleashed a huge amount of fury and changed the landscape more than any other event known in our present period. No other event in our lifetime has changed the Earth’s surface either below the water or above as did that event. In 2005 we will remember many things Mother Nature did and we were humbled by her raw power. As we watch Climate Change we also know that much of the gases, steam, ash clouds came from volcanic activity along the Pacific Rim of Fire. The Earthquakes, drastic weather, ocean changes and Volcanic Activity are all somewhat interrelated and Mother Nature rules over man, as we clearly have little control presently over her.

Scientists and geologists warn us that in 2006 we are in for more of the same, perhaps to an even greater degree. There have been lots of signs of Earthquake Swarms and movement beneath most of the major continents and signs that at least two plates maybe failing. Australian Scientists studying the Indonesia Plate insist that there is much activity there and the plate could break apart. In Japan scientists fear that their smaller plate is cracking and in the United States in WY we sit on an ancient site of a Super Volcano. In Mexico City; 25 million people live within 80 miles of a huge volcano. Central and South America, Hawaii, Alaska and Washington have all seen volcanic activity in 2005 and they are still active going into 2006. So it is a sure bet we will see additional volcanic activity throughout the year here on Earth. Think on this.
